“My paintings present the theater of landscape. I paint en plein air to feel a place and its energy. When painting in the field, I seek the expression of a place through movement, shape, and color. In the studio, I further develop plein air work by upscaling and using different materials including encaustic wax, mixed media, and drawing media. In all my work, I extract the energy, gestures, and geometries of nature.”
